Kinja'd!!!

I’ve had it 10 months and this is the 10th or 11th thing to happen to it. I’m averaging one scratch/scuff/ding per month.

Sigh.

The world doesn't want my car to be nice. It just doesn't.

NuFinish Scratch Doctor might be able to help that. It worked miracles when my brother’s friend backed his S10's steel bumper down the whole of the passenger side of my bed the second week I had my S10.

It's gouged into the plastic, though. I don't think there's anything I can do but try and touch it up.

I had a branch drop on the passenger side fender and leave a nice little ding in the FR-S, and then someone opened their door quite forcefully into the passenger door of my car; leaving a nice crease down pretty much the entire door. Both are repairable with PDR, I just need to actually schedule an appointment.

Watch videos first. Use glazing putty to build it up which is a one part that's a little softer than bondo. You can get a leveling agent to remove the excess. Prep, prep, prep. The get a clear bra for the rear bumper. I’m in NYC and that’s my plan.

I'm guessing someone backed into it or a shopping cart got it. Who knows. I just noticed it today.

My dad introduced his BRZs fender to a post backing out of a parking spot at my graduation. The fender needs to be replaced at this point.

If you mentioned this on most any FR-S/BRZ forum or Facebook page, you’d get tons of comments saying, “Bro, time to get a Rocket Bunny kit!”

That sucks, I park next to the shopping cart return things all the time cause in Texas, that’s where the carts don’t go cause most people are super lazy. I have some small weird dent next to my license plate that looks like it got hit with a cart. Think it happened in Oklahoma, just another reason I hate that fucking state.

I park here too. Everyone seems to be against it, due to the possibility of stray carts being pushed from a distance, but here in TX no one seems to put them up at all. So it’s one less door ding to worry about.

Jeesh if that bothers you then you would hate all my cars. They all wear battle scars. My truck is scratched up from trails the miata has chips in front bumper and rear bumper is cracked. Only way to stop things happening is to never drive it anywhere

I had stuff like this on my old car. Difference was my old car was a 2008 with 76,000 miles. This is a 2016 with 9,560 miles and I have barely had it 10 months. Sucks.

Yeesh, that blows. Yeah, I bought a new car in the end of 2014, beginning of 2015 some dumb woman I’m parked next to throws open her car door. I yell at her, but she’s dumb and doesn’t get it. I’d almost rather have dents than dings to be honest. You can get a dent fixed, dings you pretty much have to live with.

I used to care about every single little tiny scratch and ding that I found on my car. I bought it new and it was (and still is) my baby. But, after a few dings, and few chips, you stop caring that much. Remember, you’re the only one that notices!
